Here or there?

We want to plan a vacation for sometime in August when we both have off from school, but are havign a hard time deciding where to go. We either want to go to California...fly into San Francisco and drive down the coast and come home from San Diego or go to Italy. Both cost roughly the same amount. What should we do!?

In other news, nothing all that interesting has been happening. To be honest, I've grown to really appreciate boring. Boring trumps drama filled any day of the week.

I have a new boss at work. I now work for 3 people. I'm far more busy than I have been in a long while. Part of me is enjoying the business because it makes me feel alittle more worth my while, the other part of me has seriously grown to hate this nonsense job. I have been applying to positions in schools left and right in hopes of findign a paying job before I have to do my 15 weeks of UNPAID student teaching. Yes, you heard that right, 15 weeks UNPAID. I have no idea how anyone can be expected to survive for all that time with no job. And better yet, what am I supposed to do when the 15 weeks are up? Hopefully I can find a teaching position for the following fall, but what am I supposed to do in the meantime? I guess I'll be paying the rent in seashells and rocks. I don't really have to worry about this until next year, but still it's on my mind. I'm actually considering just not doing it until I find some sort of paying version of the job. I'm not sure how that holds up my degree, but I'm sure it will be a huge pain in the butt.
