Plans...

Wedding venue check

DJ check

Photographer check

Minister check

Florist check

I seriously managed to get this whole thing planned already! We've met with and booked all of the above. We even booked a string quartet for the ceremony and cocktail hour! We met with the minister on Friday and that was pretty funny. You see, The Boy and I are pretty tall. He is over 6 feet and I am about 5'8 and more in heels. Well our newly booked minister is about 5'3". Super nice guy, but very short. Should make for some funny pictures!

I can't believe how easy this has all been. I would have thought it would be more stressful. Maybe that happens as we get closer to the day. This week we have a tasting for our cake at the bakery and a tasting for our food at the venue. Then we get to order the invitations and start working on them. After that it should be smooth sailing. Only little things left to do and those have no particular time frame so long as they're done before the wedding.

All the girls have already gotten their dresses, which I have to say, really are super nice and comfy and totally wearable again. I refuse to be one of those brides that chooses things nobody would ever choose to wear. Over the weekend my future mom in-law and I went to the dress store and tried on shoes with the dress. I had bought 2 different pair...a classic pair and a little off the wall pair and had to see which worked. I had to return one ASAP bc I went a little over the top with the price. Oops. I used the logic that since my dress was so inexpensive then why not get designer shoes!? Then I felt super guilty for wasting the money, but once I saw the classic shoe on with the dress I knew I made a good choice. Having TB's mom there was great. She was so into it all. My mother could have given two craps the day we went dress shopping. Meanwhile, MIL was rummaging through racks and coming up with ideas for the girls shoes and accessories, helping me in and out of the dress and shoes and all that other fun stuff. She was great. I'm glad I have that relationship with her. I've heard some horror stories about mother in laws.

All in all, I've been on cloud nine and so had TB. Obviously, the planning is not something he particularly cares about, but the fact that we are getting married seems to make him glow! It puts my heart at peace to see him like this. I can't believe this is all happening!!

first, congrats! I've been so behind in blogs!

Second. I never got stressed with my wedding planning. Not once.. the only thing I got stressed at was trying to get the time off for my wedding cause work wasn't gonna give it to me.. which prompted me to quit shortly after.

I had my wedding planned in 4 months, and sat around waiting for the other like 6 to go by..if you're organized and motivated, it's not stressful at all.. at least it wasn't for me:)

congrats again!
