I took my first yoga class last night. I don't know if any of you have ever taken any kind of yoga before, but that shit is HARDDD. I mean I seriously under estimated the yoga workout. To me, it always looks so simple...pose and stand there. How hard could it be? The answer is really frickin hard.
The gym I belong to offers many classes included in your membership and they just added this new yoga class to the schedule. My best friend and I get over there thinking if we can handle pilates on the reformer with no problem, yoga will be a snap. What a joke!! I was sweating bullets. Now I am a tap dancer and a few months ago I started taking spin classes and pilates classes regularly and STILL was having a crazy hard time with this. But as hard as it was, I LOVED it!!! I mean I don't get all the yoga mumbo jumbo.... "live yogically through the fire and warrior" blablabla. I had no idea what the instructor was babbling about, but I feel great today. If I keep this up, I'll be feeling good about that bikini I bought for my upcoming trip to Jamaica!
Now that I have done my working out for the week, I plan on sitting on my ass doing nothing allllll weekend. Well, at least until Sunday morning when The Boy and I run out to pick up our pre ordered copy of the new Guitar Hero!!!! Can't wait :-D
I hope you all have a fabulous weekend.

I've Yoga'd before... and yeah it certainly ain't as easy as it looks. I could never bring myself to do it in public so we rented videos from the library... Some Yee guy who's a yoga master or something... but yeah it kicked my ass.
I love yoga. I've been doing it for a while and it never gets easier because there is always a way to make the pose harder. But I always feel so good after the class...
I started taking it at the gym and it was ok...but then this past year I found a yoga studio and the classes are so much better because they are more trained. It makes it easier in a way because they explain better and once you understand a pose it makes sense as to why it feels the way it does
I've been doing yoga for about 10 years and now I'm enrolled in three prenatal yoga classes. Of course, they're not the same because the pregnant women fart the entire way through which makes it hard to concentrate. Haha!
Note to self: Do not attend yoga classes with pregnant women.
Haha. Agreed!
I am catching up so forgive the lateness but Ive yoga'd for years and love it and yes it still kicks my butt!
