Yadda yadda yadda

I.Feel.Like.Shit. I was sick all weekend. Saturday, The Boy and I took the pup to his Tricks class. Usually I drive because I don't care to have the Pup getting hair all over my clothes while he sits on my lap, but The Boy had to drive because I was falling asleep left and right. Sure enough, I fall asleep on the ride home and The Boy has totally missed our exit. Not too surprising, but seriously? We drive up here every week do you really not know where we are going? haha, boys. That was about all I did this weekend. Well that and play CSI on Wii. Great game to play when you're sick because you can literally lay on the couch and just click buttons. Almost every other Wii game requires you to stand up or gyrate around but thankfully, this was easy. I mean I get that it's the point of Wii but it is certainly not helpful on a sick day.

Annnnyway, next weekend The Boy and I will be together for 4 years. Four! We have decided to spend the weekend in our old stomping grounds. DC. We have not been back there since we moved home to NY 2 years ago. I'm so excited. My heart is also a little achy for our life then. It was so much simpler. We were in our own little bubble. Everything was ours. In order to share in our life in DC, you had to be invited in. I know that may sound crazy to you guys, but it's the best way I can verbalize it. Our families and long life friends were everywhere else BUT where we were and that made it all our own. I am looking so forward to just walking the streets of our old neighborhood... to eating in our old favorite restaurants. I'm also looking forward to Georgetown and to one of my favorite things in all of DC... bubble tea from Teaism!

The plan is to drive Pup to The Boy's mothers for the weekend and head down bright and early Saturday so that we can be at the Maryland Renaissance Faire when they open at 10am. It is my all time favorite Ren Fest. It is set in a woodland setting with actual wood homes and shops. It feels so much like a real village in the medieval times (without the dysentery, plagues and smells I suppose.) The one in New York is like a bunch of prop huts in a barren field. blegh. Once we are done we are off to the hotel to check in. We plan on winging the rest of the weekend. I have no desire to see any monuments (except the Lincoln Memorial. It's our fave) But I do want to walk around the mall and stuff just to be there. I hope it's a nice romantic time away for us.

Now if only I could shake this mother f-ing cold!

Drink lots of liquid and get a LOT of sleep. I'm sure that even if you aren't feeling 100% next weekend you'll still have a great time!
