The life and times of Alchi Lady

My old company had season tickets to the Washington Nationals and hardly ever used them. And even though I am a born and bred Yankee fan (sorry Shar) The Boy and I would go to the games every once in a while. One time, Alchi Lady and another male co worker of ours were using 2 of the tickets and asked TB and I to tag along. We had a good time, drank some beer and hung out. This particular male coworker and I had become good work friends and he and Brandon had hit it off as well. During the game The Boy and I started to notice the flirting AL was doing. We figured that maybe it was a mutual thing that we missed, even though I really didn't see her as this co workers type. Anyway, the game ended and we all went home. The Boy mentioned that on a beer run, Co Worker said he was getting a weird vibe from Alchi and was a little uncomfortable. Aside from that there was not much exciting to report....at least until we got to work the next day.

Alchi Lady was swooning over Co Worker. She was going on and on about him and about how she thinks that maybe he had a thing for her. But she swore me to secrecy because she hadn't mentioned it to anyone. The Boy had asked me not to repeat what he told me so I couldn't tell her how wrong she was. I was a little surprised that she came to this conclusion though becase he was just being friendly and normal at the game. Anyway, we all get together at a happy hour a few days later. Most of the younger folks in the office go and Alchi invites some of her friends as well, including her best friend. Alchi rents the basement apartment of her best friends house. Um, did I mention that Alchi was almost 40 and hasn't been in a serious relationship in over 10 years?? Probably should have...sorry about that. Anyway, we're all hanging out and being social. It soon becomes obvious that Co Worker and Alchi's best friend are hitting it off....and drunk. lol. Now at this point, I don't think Alchi noticed the sparks (it may have been the double vision she HAD to have) but when she was ready to leave, she went to find best friend and she was missing in action....along with co worker. Oh boy. Alchi was FREAKING OUT. I mean hyperventilating, and growling (yes growling) it was kind of funny. I tried to calm her down, I mean would best friend do anything knowing that Alchi had a crush......well apparently, she never mentioned her crush to best friend. Oops. haha.

On the war path, Alchi searched the bar high and low only to find the pair making out in a booth in the back. She stormed up to them, grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him back. Now at this point I was watching from afar because, let's be honest, this is just too funny. They stopped kissing and look at her shocked and confused and she screams AT HIM, "How can you do this to me??" To which he replied in the most confused tone I have ever heard in my life "What are you talking about!?" I guess she really didn't know what to say so she growled so loud that half the bar turned around. Then she stormed off. Co Worker and Best friend looked completely shocked. He caught my eye and mouthed "what the hell?" haha I just shrugged and laughed and headed out to make sure Alchi wasn't making a scene in the street. She was no where to be found. Best Friend and I searched high and low and could not find her anywhere. And nobody heard from her again until she called in to work the following morning to tell us that she would be moving today and could not come in. Moving!!! Over a boy she had a crush on for 3 days!!! Can you say looney?
